Currently, we are looking for a Field Application Engineer to be part of our global team working together towards our mission – to bring meaningful moments to people in connected public spaces. As our Field Application Engineer, you will support the Commercial Team and you will give technical support to Sales Teams & Customers with the aim of optimizing customer’s satisfaction before, during & after-sales.
What you will do :
Pre-sales
- Provides technical knowledge, expertise, advice and support to sales representatives, resellers and customers during the sales process to resolve requests regarding product/service technical issues.
- Provides technical input into bid proposals, tenders, projects and technical documents within the sales process and identifies additional sales opportunities with existing customers.
- Installs and demonstrates the organization's products at customer sites.
- Prepares application notes, engineering drawings, production specifications, and contract modifications to ensure that customers' technical requirements are met.
System Development & Support to the Group
- Sources and selects third-party products based on technical, price, delivery time and other purchasing arguments.
- Provides technical support to production plants and development centers in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, product quality, process improvement or product development.
- Translates customer specifications into ‘Custom product’ descriptions & drawings which can be used by the group development team and production plants for the design and manufacturing.
- Collaborates with Group-technical services and with Group-FAE-team in particular, in order to boost the smooth circulation of information.
Training
- Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organization's and competitors' products and/or services.
- Give training to sales team or customers.
Post-sales
- Provides post-sale technical support services to customers, including installation, use, troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance of products and services. Responds to customer questions regarding operation and malfunctions. Advises customers on preventive maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer satisfaction. This by onsite-trainings, writing technical documents.
- Handles customer complaints by internal procedures, uses online platforms on local/group levels. Suggests improvements.
- Organize FAT (Field Acceptance Test) & SAT (Site Acceptance Test) including realization and validation of mock-ups.

Skills Requested
Master (electro mechanics or electrical engineering) with 0-5 years of relevant experience or Bachelor Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience
For the particular role, we also expect the following :
- Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, materials and IT networking systems
- Good knowledge of electrical safety (BA4-BA5)
- Knowledge of classic IT tools : Excel - Word – Outlook
- Languages : local language(s) + English
- Team player / good communication skills / solution-oriented
